to mark stys..A ? 4 u..Im trying to decided on what kinda of rims and tires to put on my 68 camaro.. The front ones will take the 14inch rims i had on before, but the real 15's rims wont fit cause off the larger brakes i put on.I would like to try to put 20 inch rims on it but know im wondering with the comment you made about the weight distribtion. thanks for your help.

For someone who appreciates the "DUB Edition" (Tuff & Classy) style on this type of vehicle, what would you recommend as an alternative modification, to acheiving the same type stlye? Is there any? I am not a "car guy" (wish I was)...any good tips?

Sorry I don't follow as blindly as you do cheerleader. The facts remain: 1) heavy cars with five lug patterns set so closely together need to be set further apart on wheels, or have more lugs or eliminate the low profile wide lip on the rim. 2) A ten inch wide wheel while it may hold up with ten spokes, will fail at the weekest part of the structure at speed in hard cornering (Study your weight distribution of exponential increase of rim and tire weight at speed). In this case this Charger is a good drivers car, with a great rigid chassis and solid suspension. If the control arms and the shocks don't fail, the weakest link becomes(Remember this is taking a hard fast corner) is either the lugs or lug nuts on a tight pattern (Five bolt set approx 3.5 " diameter) with a wide low profile rim. or the tire may just peel right off the rim. take your pick.

Call your local Chrysler dealership's parts department ask to order "DUB" parts for your 300C(Same car as The Charger), if they put you on hold they may leave you there as Chrysler has promised parts for those cars and still hasn't delivered. Good luck on an OEM line sticking their necks out on this as one. After market rims have repeatedly already failed on this vehicle. Big Benzes have never done well with low profile tires and the rims that are released for them are MONSTERS with thick lugs and monster lug nuts. It's the same reason Boeing isn't building a 5,000 passenger airplane, too many engineering complications and the legal risks far outweigh the financial rewards.

You should hope I'd work for Daimler Chrysler in their design department, as I wouldn't allow anyone to be injurred or killed just to make a promise on a flashy package without extensive testing, or extensive research on engineering. Or in the very least nation wide feedback from aftermarket vendors or Chrysler/Dodge service departments. You are either a fourteen year old or must work the marketing or sales department, as promises are made by these people every day without adequate testing, and in the long run cost the parent companies millions, and unknowing consumers life and limb.

I'm glad I don't work at a Dodge dealership. This one has marketing blunder written all over it when the mechanicals fail and the dealership has to stand beside it good luck. Every wanna be is going to start causing accidents and driving foolishly in these and Chrysler will have to join Ford and GM in the court rooms.
